Our journey at Stronghold Engineering began in Riverside, California, over 32 years ago. We’ve grown from an electrical company to a respected general contractor with strong ties across Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, and all of Southern California. With our headquarters now in Perris, CA, our commitment to the region remains unwavering.

While we’re not the biggest commercial general contractor in the region, Stronghold Engineering has been awarded many Los Angeles construction contracts by area businesses, local municipalities, the State of California, and the U. BUILD SOLAR POWER GENERATION SYSTEM AT SEVERAL COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA FACILITIES PROJECT

The County of Santa Clara selected Stronghold Engineering, Inc. to provide cost effective, solar photovoltaic electric generating systems for several facilities located within Santa Clara County. The combination of roof top, carport and ground mounted systems is now providing more than 5MW of power for the County. The project was part of the County of Santa Clara’s multi-jurisdiction renewable energy procurement effort; said to be one of the largest in the US in terms of the number of sites and cities participating. Design started in February of 2011, ground broke in July 2011 and the project was successfully completed in April 2012.

INSTALL PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM, SEAL BEACH PROJECT

Stronghold Engineering, Inc. served as the prime contractor for this $2.3M fast-track design-build project to install Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems (SPVPS) for two (2) buildings at the Naval Air Weapons Station in Seal Beach, CA. This project was part of the American recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, which aims to reduce carbon footprints through renewable energy. The SPVPS was installed on the roofs of each building which included demolition and replacement of each roof system. Each SPVPS supplies power to the building and feeds energy back into the power grid if/when there is an excess of electricity produced. The SPVPS consists of multi-crystalline photovoltaic modules, inverters, a monitoring system, combiner boxes, a racking system, a mounting system, a housekeeping pad, sunshade and fence.

INSTALL PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM, NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO PROJECT

Stronghold Engineering, Inc. served as the prime contractor for this $2.6M fast-track design-build project to install Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems (SPVPS) for three (3) buildings at the Naval Base in San Diego, CA. PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM AT INSTALLATION RESTORATION SITE 7, BOX CANYON LANDFILL PROJECT

Stronghold designed, procured, and constructed a complete solar photovoltaic system including balance of system components, electrical utilities, communication utilities, monitoring and metering, utility equipment building, and associated equipment and devices to occupy the approximately six (6) acres of closed landfill space. The design and construction approach to this project offered a solution that minimized impacts to the integrity, function, and useful life of the Evapotranspiration cover of the landfill. In addition, Stronghold presented the Navy a comprehensive schedule that showed successful completion in less than the required 465 calendar days while adhering to all requirements delineated in the Request for Proposal.

Community Engagement

Our team is dedicated to helping those in our community who need assistance. We’ve partnered with Lamb Energy Solar Panels to install photovoltaic systems at no charge to several area churches. Employees have donated their time and hard work to raise funds to support community organizations like Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, Blindness Support Services, Inc., Harvest Ministries, Grove Community Church, and many others.

As a California construction company, we want to help our community by doing what we do best: local building projects. A few years ago, our neighboring elementary school was in need of an outdoor venue for assemblies and performances. Stronghold and our employees donated time and our vendors provided free materials to make the school’s new amphitheater a reality. Working with the local Boy Scouts, this initiative even helped one Eagle Scout complete his required project. It’s gratifying to use our skills and resources on community construction projects that help others in our area and we are glad to have the opportunity to do so.
