City of Santa Clarita Transit Maintenance Facility

SANTA CLARITA, CA

Stronghold partnered with the City of Santa Clarita, for this fast track, design build, Photovoltaic Solar Bus Canopy Installation Project. The project was designed and constructed in less than 200 days and consisted of 2,842 Sharp 240kW panels with an anticipated kW power generation of 5,299,800 kWh annually.

The Stronghold Team completed the construction of three (3) Solar Busport Canopies and the installation of panels on the rooftop of the Buswash Station, as well as construction of a building to house the inverters and electrical equipment and protect them from the weather. This system included: the installation of four (4) PV powered inverters, a new switch board that connected to the existing site distribution board, a new circuit breaker, new metering equipment, and a Power Production Monitoring System. The Power Production Monitoring System used was DECK’s latest version that allows for the viewing of generation data via the internet by the customer and contractor for maintenance purposes
