On February 21, Stronghold Engineering hosted a Girl Scouts of America ‘Classroom to Career’ event at their corporate office. The girls were able to listen to some of our stories, and the path that we followed to reach our career goals. They were given a tour of our building and worked on an activity, which helped them explore their future goals and what steps they would need to achieve them. We also had a pizza lunch and each girl left with a special ‘swag bag’.
Classroom to Career was launched in 2014 by a small local group of Girl Scouts from the San Bernardino area. Their idea was to mentor and inspire local girls in the Riverside and San Bernardino counties and help them pursue professional careers. Classroom to Career focuses on learning concepts while also integrating career and professional based learning and experiences.
