On August 11, 2011, Stronghold broke ground on the Mead Valley Library. This new library for the County of Riverside consists of a ground up 23,000 square foot library complex with 3 1/4 acres of site development, including new street improvements at it’s location of Clark and Oakwood Streets in the city of Perris, California. The new library will be LEED Gold Certified and will feature reading rooms for children and teens, an outdoor amphitheater, a public meeting room, study areas and drought tolerant landscaping will be added to conserve water and save energy. As an additional energy savings, the building will be equipped with a 68kW rooftop photovoltaic system as part of the design strategy in order to ensure the Leed Gold Certification. A welcomed improvement for the City of Perris this project is scheduled for completion in the late summer of 2012. birds-eye
