On September 25th, Stronghold attended the ABC Southern California Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Award luncheon.  Stronghold was the only contractor that received the Platinum Award for having a recordable incident rate that is 25% below National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code and an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.78. Congratulations to TEAM Stronghold for achieving this safety milestone.  The STEP merit based safety recognition award was established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety Committee.  The STEP program was developed by contractors for contractors as a safety benchmarking and improvement tool.  The program is comprised of twenty key components that measure the effectiveness of a company’s safety and training programs. There are six levels of STEP achievement: Participant, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Stronghold received the Platinum Award from 2002 to 2010. Stronghold will try for a Diamond award in the future.  To achieve this goal requires the commitment of all employees to consistently promote a safety culture which encourages employees to perform work task in a safe manner. dsc_0004 step-awards-2013
