Stronghold Engineering, Inc. was awarded the contract for this fast-track, design-build project which called for the design and installation of two (2) solar photovoltaic projects on the roofs of buildings located on the Naval Base in Ventura, California. The project was funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and was required to be fully operational within 180 days. The demolition and replacement of each of the buildings’ roofs were required prior to the installation of the system. Upon completion of the project, each of the PV systems were connected to the power grid to allow excess power to be fed back into the grid.
