This $2.9 million fast-track, design-build project is one of many projects Stronghold Engineering, Inc. has completed for the Navy in their effort to utilize more sustainable energy generation methods to supply the power needed across their many bases. The project’s design, procurement and installation of solar photovoltaic power for five (5) buildings at the Naval Base located in El Centro was completed on a fast-track schedule, in less than 180 days. The photovoltaic systems generate more than 208,000kW annually while supplying power to the building and feeing excess energy back into the power grid. The design and installation of the system consisted of high performance, high quality, and long life cycle materials and equipment.
