Game Rules:
What is the Stronghold on Safety Jackpot Program?
The Stronghold on Safety Jackpot Program is an incentive program designed to encourage and reward excellence for job site safety performance from the start, increase safety awareness dramatically and sustain safety awareness on a long-term basis with weekly reminders.
• Field employees will have the opportunity to scratch safety jackpot tickets each week for a chance to win a $25.00 cash prize.
• Employees can also win, collect and save their prize tickets in an effort to spell T-E-A-M-S-E-I. Employees who spell out T-E-A-M-S-E-I can send their tickets into the corporate office for entry into a quarterly drawing with a cash prize of $500.00.
Who is eligible to participate?
• All Stronghold Engineering field personnel who perform work “Safely”.
How does the Stronghold on Safety incentive program work?
• Each field employee will earn one game card every week if he/she goes incident free for the week and is observed following all safety rules.
• Employees scratch off three silver spots on the game card and will reveal an instant cash prize or a try again. Winning game cards should be mailed into the corporate office with the employees’ name documented on the back of the card.
• Game cards will be distributed by Supervisors at the end of each weekly safety meeting.
• All employees who collect tickets spelling T-E-A-M-S-E-I will mail their tickets into the corporate office to be entered into a quarterly prize drawing. Every quarter one name will be drawn for a larger cash prize of $500.
• Winner of the Stronghold Safety Jackpot Program will have a gift card mailed to their home address after each win.
How is eligibility determined for a drawing to occur?
All Stronghold Engineering field personnel will be to receive a game card when the following Safety rules are accomplished during a one week period:
• No safety violations
• No accidents / Incidents
• No OSHA recordable injuries
• Observed wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment when required i.e. hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, vests, and other protective equipment as necessary for the specific task
• Observed performing or working safely
• Attending weekly “Safety Meetings”
If an employee is involved in a work related accident that employee will be unable to participate in the safety program for a 4 week period. If an employee is found not following any of Stronghold Safety Policies and Procedures (For example, not wearing PPE) they will be unable to participate in the safety program for each week they are found violating a safety policy or procedure.
Additional game cards can be awarded at the Corporate Safety Officer's discretion for any effort that is deemed as “Above and Beyond” in the area of safety. Possible examples of proactive behavior include:
• Submit written safety suggestions site that are implemented
• Identify a potentially hazardous condition to supervisor / foreman
• Conduct or take safety minutes
• Correct and report any observed unsafe action by employees or subcontractors
• Report defective or unsafe equipment or tools to supervisor / foreman
