Curt - Employee of the 4th Quarter 2009
Curt was nominated for Employee of the Quarter for reasons that are obvious to anyone who has had the pleasure of working with him. Curt joined the Stronghold Team in 2004 and has always been a no-nonsense, dedicated, hardworking, loyal, and not to mention highly skilled employee of Stronghold. Among all these great things he is also a true leader in the field and has mentored and trained many in our great Company – including our very own Scott Bailey.
As a Lineman, Curt works under some of the most dangerous conditions and he does so with the skill of a surgeon all while keeping safety at the forefront of his every move. He is a true Captain in our industry, a loyal member of our Team, and brings untold years of wisdom to every job he takes on. Curt never complains and his experience, wisdom, and most of all his work ethic is legendary. For all these reasons, and many more, Curt was named Stronghold’s Employee of the 4th Quarter 2009.

Robert - Employee of the 3rd Quarter 2009
Robert has been working for Stronghold since 1997 and is known for his outstanding work ethic. As a past Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Electrical Apprentice, Robert has set the standards of excellence for all apprentices, as well as journeymen, to follow. Robert does an outstanding job and makes a tremendous effort to lead Electrical Apprentices’ to success. Notably, after completing the ABC Electrical Apprentice Program, Robert continues to stay heavily involved in the ABC Program, which he currently works as an Electrical Instructor, as well as chairing the annual ABC Craft Championships.
Robert’s family includes his wife Diane, son Robert, and his two daughters Lorie and Katie. In Robert’s free time he likes to spend time with his family by going with his son to Cub Scout Pack Meetings and watching his daughters in dance class. He also enjoys working on his house and restoring his old Land Cruiser.

Nichole - Employee of the 2nd Quarter 2009
Nichole joined the Stronghold Team as Executive Assistant and then took on huge responsibilities this year when she became an instrumental part of Stronghold’s Business Development Team. Nichole has ambitiously, and without complaint, jumped into working on technical proposals for the Company and numerous marketing events.
During the past year, Nichole has gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about the Company and she continues to try and gain more knowledge each day. Nichole works hard to ensure the Company gains new work and is providing the best technical proposals possible.
Some of Team Stronghold’s comments, which lead to Nichole’s recognition included; Nichole is always willing to help out a team member and does so providing quality work. She assists others when asked and is always pleasant – taking the extra effort to help out when needed.
Nichole is truly a team player and her dedication to the Company’s success has not gone without notice and most definitely deserves recognition. Nichole made an outstanding candidate for Employee of the 2nd Quarter and we are proud to recognize her for all her efforts.

Florence "Flo" - Employee of the 1st Quarter 2009
Flo has been working for Stronghold since June of 2001. As Construction Quality Control Manager, Flo does an outstanding job as he effectively and efficiently manages the quality of construction, ensuring Stronghold’s continued Excellence in Construction on all project sites.
Flo is described by his co-workers and Stronghold Management as hard working, honest, responsible, an outstanding professional and a team player. Notably, Flo has also dedicated his time to train new members of the Stronghold Team as they begin their careers in Construction and Construction Quality Control.
Flo always has a very positive attitude with an unquestionable commitment to the success of Stronghold. It is these attributes that made Flo an outstanding recipient for Employee of the Quarter.

Netsay - Employee of the 4th Quarter 2008
Netsay has been working for Stronghold since 2005 as Accounts Receivable Coordinator. Netsay does an outstanding job as she manages, effectively and efficiently, all of our Accounts Receivable, which is a critical area in our Company.
Netsay is a team player and an employee morale builder, which, can be seen in all her efforts towards the Company’s last three Biggest Loser Competitions! Netsay explained that she very much enjoys coordinating the Biggest Loser Competitions because she enjoys watching her co-workers take on a healthy challenge and changing lifestyles.
Netsay shared that she takes great pleasure working with the great people that make Team Stronghold and that her fellow colleagues make our Company a great place to learn and grow. She see’s Stronghold making a positive difference.
In Netsay’s spare time, she loves spending time with her family, which includes her husband Carlos and their three children (Jonathan, Damaris and Amanda). On weekends they enjoy spending time together at Disneyland, walking in the park or discovering something fascinating and new. Netsay’s children bring joy to her life and she loves how her kids live in a magical world. She also loves being in it with them!

Steve - Employee of the 3rd Quarter 2008
Steve has been working for Stronghold as Project Superintendent since 2005. During these past years, Steve has demonstrated outstanding performance on every project he has worked on. Most recently Steve was recognized for his performance on our $13M United States Postal Service (USPS) Project in Moreno Valley.
Steve stated that the reason he loves working for Stronghold is because he enjoys the Company’s team atmosphere and shared that his recent project, the USPS Project, was a great project to work on and he absolutely enjoyed being part of the Project Team - completing another design build project success for Stronghold.
Steve likes to spend his free time with his lovely wife Lidia, whom he has been married to for over twelve years. Together they spend time landscaping around their home, walking and hiking. It is there weekly goal to walk about 25 miles per week and they enjoy it very much.

Dave - Employee of the 2nd Quarter 2008
Dave started working for Stronghold as Project Superintendent in July of 2001 and has been doing an outstanding job ever since. Dave is not only a self-starter, but also is a great Project Leader who is capable of running a large complex projects with very little oversight. Dave quietly leads his projects, and in the end, we are left with an Outstanding Evaluation and a very happy client!
When asking Dave he enjoys most about his position at Stronghold, Dave explained; he is amazed at how many people are on the outside looking in at Stronghold, meaning, that others are consistently asking him what is going on in the Company. Dave shared that all the interest in Stronghold, makes him feel very proud to work for the Company and he loves to share with others all the great things that Stronghold does.
Dave's family includes his wife Tina and his three wonderful children Chad, Shawn and Shannon. In Dave's free time, he and his family spend time taking in sporting events, attending Shannon's dance competitions, snowmobiling and riding their toys in the desert.

Kurt - Employee of the 1st Quarter 2008
Kurt started working with Stronghold as a subcontractor back in the late 90s. As a subcontractor, Kurt provided Stronghold with cabinetry services on many of our VA and Navy Projects. Kurt was also responsible for the new and improved office upgrades at our prior Riverside office and we are lucky enough to have some of Kurt’s fine crafted cabinetry in our corporate office as well.
We were very fortunate to have Kurt join the Stronghold Family as Assistant Estimator in 2006 and Kurt has been a tremendous addition to our Estimating Department. Kurt was selected as Employee of the 1st Quarter 2008, because over the past two years he has taken on a variety of roles and responsibilities, without complaint, and he performs his tasks successfully. Kurt sets the example for others to follow by being proactive and coming up with innovative and creative ideas to help make the company be the best it can be.
Kurt is well known for his beautiful craftsmanship and in his free time he enjoys working with wood. He also likes to spend time snow skiing and, of course, he enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his beautiful wife, Charlene, and their 11 year old daughter, Ashton.
Kurt shared that Stronghold is the first company that he has enjoyed working for and one of the reasons that he loves his job is because he likes all the people he works with – Go Team Stronghold!

Rosie - Employee of the 4th Quarter 2007
Rosie joined the Stronghold Family as Project Coordinator in August of 2006. Rosie is an instrumental part of the Estimating Department, Project Management Department and the Electrical Division. A few of the reasons that Rosie was selected as Employee of the 4th Quarter is because she never complains, is always available with assistance and always has a smile on her face.
In Rosie’s free time she enjoys spending time with her three children, Christina who is 16, Rafael who is 15 and Alfonso who is 13. Rosie also enjoys reading and she is a huge NBA and NFL fan.
Rosie shared that she loves her job and what she does because it’s exciting work. For future goals, Rosie would like to take over the world of construction and retire from Stronghold.

Shane - Employee of the 3rd Quarter 2007
Shane started with Stronghold in April of 2005 as an IT Assistant and was transitioned into an Assistant Project Engineer starting with the UNICOR Victorville Project. Currently, Shane has been working as Assistant Project Engineer the $14.7M Ontario Perimeter Fence Project and will soon be transitioning to the San Bernardino Court House Project.
Shane was selected as Employee of the 3rd Quarter 2007 for his willingness to always lend a hand whenever a need arises and his proven ability to be a quick study in the construction field. Shane shared that he enjoys his job and explained that the favorite part of his position is that things are always changing.
In Shane’s free time he is working on wedding planning with his future wife, Valarie. Shane was excited to announce that he will be getting married this year on August 2nd. In addition to wedding planning, Shane also helps out as a Referee for the High Desert Youth Soccer League.

Joe - Employee of the 2nd Quarter 2007
Joe joined the team in September of 2003. Joe was nominated for Employee of the Quarter because of his great attitude and commitment to his work. Joe’s actions show that he cares about every employee at Stronghold and is always available when you need him. One of Joe’s many nominations stated the following, “The 24/7 schedule of information does not exist without Joe. Although you can’t see what Joe’s doing, he is working hard to make our work easier for us each day. He makes the work go around.”
Joe says that his favorite thing about working for Stronghold is: “You are not just working for yourself, but, that you are also working for your team and to enable those around you so that we can all do our job and be successful as a company.”
When Joe is not working, he loves spending time with his family, listening to music and reading.
Joe’s goal is to work on building a home, a family and to keep growing on a personal and professional level.

Don - Employee of the 1st Quarter 2007
For the second time, a Stronghold record, Don was selected as Stronghold’s Employee of the 1st Quarter 2007. Don has been a long-term, faithful, hard-working, and dedicated Stronghold employee for more than 12 years. Don has worked on almost every type of job imaginable, but what Don loves the most is Stronghold’s airfield lighting projects. Currently, Don leads Stronghold’s crew on its $14.3M MCAS, Miramar Airfield Lighting Project and is having a blast leading Stronghold to success on that Project with on-time completion and zero lost time accidents. What really gets Don’s juices flowing is the low-flying overhead Herriers, F-18s, and F-22s, and the constant military personnel on-site. The MCAS, Miramar Airfield Lighting Project, is truly a job Don can be proud of.
Don’s family includes his wife Mackie, their two daughters, Erika and Jennifer, and their son Patrick.
When Don has free time, he likes to spend time with the family and work around the house.
Don’s goal is to continue to grow and develop with the company. He also shared his dream of working on a fair off Exotic Island with his wife by his side in a grass skirt.
