Stronghold was awarded the 2007 National Excellence in Construction Award by Associated Builders and Contractors at their Annual Excellence In Construction banquet in Washington DC in June of 2008. This award is presented to companies to honor the nation's most outstanding construction projects as well as those companies with exemplary safety records. Stronghold was selected for this award based upon our completed Naval Coastal Warfare Group One Facilities, Phase I, Project at the Naval Outline Landing Field in Imperial Beach, California.

Ed Pastor Kino Environmental Restoration Project, Tucson, Arizona Critique: This is truly an exceptional project. It took an existing mud flat in an arid area and created aesthetic landscapes, recreation features, flood control, and is a prototype for water harvesting. It is technically sophisticated while appearing natural. It has proved sustainable over the recent drought years.

Stronghold Engineering received the "Best of the Best" Excellence in Construction Award at the Associated Builders and Contractors National Conference in Las Vegas, Nev. More than 300 entries were received and only 47 were selected for this award. Stronghold was one of three companies to also receive the prestigious Design Build Institute of America Partnership Award for this project's approach to design build.
